Care for Decorative Plaster Trays
Let's talk about how to care for plaster items!
Plaster itself doesn’t tolerate prolonged contact with water, as it absorbs water very quickly. For example, if the surface of a plaster item is untreated, it can become completely soaked when in contact with water!
However, all the products from our shop are made from high-strength plaster and are coated with several layers of acrylic varnish. Thanks to this, the item can withstand brief contact with water without any issues!
You can wipe the plaster item with a dry or damp cloth, and if necessary, rinse it under running water and immediately dry it off! That being said, if the item has constant contact with water, it won’t fall apart due to the high-strength plaster and multiple layers of acrylic varnish. But over time, the protective layer of acrylic varnish may deteriorate, leading to streaks that can affect the appearance of the item.
So, if you plan to use a plaster tray as a soap dish, for example, you should be aware that constant exposure to water may eventually alter its appearance.
Care Recommendations:
- Wipe with a soft, dry cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
- Not intended for contact with water.
- Plaster items are not suitable for food use (except for packaged items like candies).
- Plaster products are very durable due to a special strengthening additive. However, they can break if dropped. Please be careful!
By following these simple guidelines, your plaster item will bring joy to you and your loved ones for many years!
